A week and a half I worked on this, and nothing came out right at all. I really don't like it. During the inking process I made a bunch of mistakes with the lines. After a while, I wasn't even sure what I was doing anymore. I can only put my hand to my face in disappointment. Sorry the first page of my new series is such an eyesore for all of you. I'll throw this in scraps when I can make a better first page. I'm ashamed to even put this in the manga/anime category here. <=/
Overall, I'm just not happy with it. I failed to make it look anything like I thought. Wish my hands could better produce what my mind sees. One last thing, it's manga style so read it right to left.
Hey now Let. The page isn't bad at all. the perspective is right on the money for each panel. The lighting used is too bright but everything will fall into place given enough practice.
just because it doesn't fit your vision of how things look in your head doesn't mean it's bad. Most of the pages I draw don't match my vision for each individual page. But I try to use those deviant details to run through a different series of panels. most of the time, things end up looking better than I envisioned.
I think this page is well done. Relax and have fun with it.
by the way, Ryuu-kun's sleeping hat is so cute ^_^

Yes. As a manner of fact, I like how you made the house in the first panel detailed (almost if it were traced). And I liked how Dragon-kun were sweating up. I wonder if he sees a nightmare, were transforming or felt something from far away...

rotten luck with the conversion. I'd just draw it darker next time.
good is really relative. back when I was in the 8th grade i drew my first comic. 20 pages of amateurish drawings and I thought I had created the best stuff known to man. I entered the comic into a contest shortly after and well...
I didn't win.
so... don't worry so much about how it looks. worry about whether what you've produced is up to par with your ability to draw. a wholehearted piece of work is better than an awesome one done with no heart.

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
