Lion-Man at the Shop

I recently played and beat Lizardcube's fantastic remake of Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap. I had Dragon's Curse for the TurboGrafx-16 saved on my Wii all this time, but never completed it despite I'm right near the end. (Since I beat this remake, I've technically completed the previous 1991 version in a sense too. XD)

In any case, I really loved the beautiful art style for the game and decided to draw the hero's lion form when he's shopping for gear or at the nurse's office for healing (I just love how he's leaning on his blade with that stern look of his). I redrew this quite a few times and it took me a few pencil tests to make sure I didn't mess up certain portions. The sword looks awkward I know, but it technically has a weird shape all its own, so it's not too far off from what it looks like. If some parts of his body look strange, I blame it on the lack of colors. Lion-Man's body armor doesn't have metal sleeves or anything, so his arms aren't covered, but I guess that might be hard to tell from looking.

I would also like to say that I'm glad I finally put something up after ten months of literally nothing from me. It feels good to draw again, and put the results up here for everyone to see. I really just want to get back into a regular drawing habit once again and not ever have a gap like that repeat. I scanned this at work and my office doesn't have very good tools for cleaning up drawings, so excuse the background "noise" if you will.
